It’s About Time…

about Time 1For the past year I’ve used a brand of protein powder that had sucralose as a sweetener. Before that I samples around with a few different brands before finally settling. I wasn’t crazy about that part of the ingredient list, but in getting used having protein powder as part of my diet regularly preparing for my first figure competition, I was just happy to find one that liked and didn’t leave me with a chalky aftertaste. Fast forward to now and I was ready to try something else. IF a sweetener is needed, I’m an advocate of liquid stevia. I’ve done research on the effect of sweeteners (natural and artifcial) in the body and for me, I opt for liquid stevia. That said, finding a protein powder that used stevia as it’s sweetener was on the list of must haves when looking to switch brands… enter About Time Protein.

I heard about it from Leah Potosky’s page and when the time came I ordered the About Time Vanilla protein powder. It arrived in record time and JUST before the day I was about to run out of my old brand.

I am happy to report that it is DELICIOUS! I usually use it blended with some ice and unsweetened vanilla coconut or almond milk, however, it’s the first protein powder that I can actually just drink shaken up with water. It’s not my favorite way, but if I’m in a rush or on the go it’s nice to have it as an option. I also used it a few recipes:
